The perfect catch is a myth
When we first met at the AAAI conference in Singapore 2 weeks ago, you thought I was great. I thought you were awesome 😍 But we were the best and simplest versions of ourselves and were existing under the easiest possible circumstances. I want you to know that I believed then and still believe you are the man of my dreams.
Time and interaction will reveal a more nuanced and complete picture of who we are. And I hope you like that picture as much as you liked the one that established your first impression.
But I will tell you right now,
I’m no angel. Nor am I a devil. I’m a regular person with flaws and good points, who has successes and failures, just like anyone else. This is a lesson everyone must learn about everyone else, especially when the rose-colored glasses of a new romance start to lose their potency.
At no point in my life will I pretend to be perfect for ANYBODY. I don’t care what you say, what your picture perfect family says, what anybody says or thinks; my life is my life and I will live it my way.
Oh well, if this thing we started doesn’t work out, you can be the appetizer before the main course 🧆🥗🍴
About Me

Ursula Addison
Computer Scientist / Researcher
I’m Ursula, some know me as Addison, Ukume or Uku (a nod to my Nigerian roots). I was inspired to make this blog to catalogue the many adventures I hope to have or not have 🤣 This is not so much a narrative intended for strangers looking to fill a void in their lives by fixating on others, but rather as an opportunity for the people I meet on my winding road to learn a bit more about me. Here, I’ll log my escapades and thoughts on life and science.
