An Ode to Spring 🌸

,

I’m starting to see cherry blossoms popping up in desolate places. I know their beauty will be brief, but still I look forward to their arrival.

Thoughts of cherry blossoms always take me back to the beautiful dark wood white-blossomed pear trees I would see on my walk to CUNY Graduate Center in the Spring.

I would take dozens of photos from every angle knowing the blossoms might be gone the next day I walked that path again.

But spring is not the only thing flitting through my thoughts, my bandwidth is suffering a tug-a-war by thoughts on both neurosymbolism and love. I keep thinking how can theory and practice on brain health cross-fertilize AGI theory? In contemplating more about how we can support this critical organ are there any insights that can extend to the plethora of AI technology based in neuroscience? Wouldn’t it be so interesting if SOTA in brain care could lead to more optimal neural networks? Or even interpretability?

Well, I will continue my musings as this beautiful weather becomes even more inviting and I sip a spring themed drink under a sakura tree. 🌸

About Me

Ursula Addison

Computer Scientist / Researcher

I’m Ursula, some know me as Addison, Ukume or Uku (a nod to my Nigerian roots). I was inspired to make this blog to catalogue the many adventures I hope to have or not have 🤣 This is not so much a narrative intended for strangers looking to fill a void in their lives by fixating on others, but rather as an opportunity for the people I meet on my winding road to learn a bit more about me. Here, I’ll log my escapades and thoughts on life and science.
